Personal project

Designing adaptive systems for real-world complexity

Filmo is a production management app for indie film professionals, designed to support people, schedules, locations, and real-time progress during a shoot.

Film sets are volatile environments. Plans change constantly, information is interdependent, and decisions are often made live, under pressure. Existing tools are either too rigid or too dense to be usable in these conditions.

The interface flexes as conditions change, maintaining clarity even as complexity increases.

Drawing on my experience as a 1st Assistant Director, I designed an adaptive system that prioritise situational relevance — surfacing what matters now, while allowing for overrides and exceptions without breaking the system.
